Last Wednesday, the D.C. Council held a public oversight hearing to discuss D.C.'s recent LGB Health Report—and its exclusion of transgender health data from the findings. In this video summary of the meeting from the DC Center, trans activist Ruby Corado sums up the problem: "There's a lot of agencies—and I will say local agencies—that are in charge of promoting the health of D.C. residents that really do not understand or do not want to understand that we're real people," she said.
